On northern side of polar circle we have a period what we call ”kaamos” in Finnish language. It means the period when sun is never rising above horizon. It might sound little bit strange and scary period, but actually it is very beautiful time in north. For example the feeling to ski in snowy forest during kaamos period is really extraordinary, special and unique experience. The feeling is so peaceful and beautiful that you can hardly stop even when the total darkness covers landscape and last glimmer of light disappears to southern skyline…and when you are lucky enough to have soft powder below you skis kaamos period is almost  skiers heaven as you can see from this video…
